Chinmaya Mission-New York is hosting a walk-a-thon to raise funds and awareness for
the Chinmaya Organization for Rural Development (CORD) charitable trust.
All proceeds will be directed toward self-upliftment programs in impoverished
rural India, including primary healthcare services; women's empowerment forums;
self-help groups and micro-banking; and sustainable income generation and
vocational training for the poor and disabled.

WHERE: Riverside Park in Manhattan, NY (starting at 83rd St south of the Warsaw Ghetto Memorial,

WHY: To support CORD's self-upliftment programs in rural India
