Tamil Nadu Yatra

Tamil Nadu Yatra

We are very excited to announce our 2nd Yatra to Kerala and Tamil Nadu! See details below:

Part 1 – Attend the Advaita Immersive Course from Dec. 25-31  in Chinmaya International Foundation, Kerala – the birth place of Adi Shankaracharya ji. If you are looking for an in depth study of Advaita Vedanta – this is perfect for you! The Advaita Vedanta Immersive is an opportunity for seekers to attain clarity and appreciation of essential and deep concepts of Advaita-vedānta in the span of one week. This year the text for study is the first sutra of the Brahmasūtra (jijñāsāsūtra) under the guidance of Swami Advayananda.

Part 2 – Start the new year with a reflective retreat as we visit holy places of pilgrimage in Tamil Nadu from January 1-7, 2019.

Chinmaya Tarangini

In the Birth Centenary Year of Gurudev Swami Chinmayanandaji, Chinmaya Tarangini was inaugurated by Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayanandaji on 24th May, 2015 at Uthandi, Chennai.

This is an open temple built by the sea which houses Matsya Narayana who brought the Vedas back to human kind. A seeker describes this place as – the roaring ocean, the sublime sunrise, the glistening 108 granite pillars with each one describing one name of Pujya Gurudev and 10 names from Vishnu Sahasranama, the beautiful deities, the colourful flower beds and the aesthetic pebble walkways all reflect the pristine, unfathomable Perfection of their Creator and make one reflective and contemplative.

Arunachala Hill

Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi called Arunachala the spiritual Heart of the world. Aruna, which means ‘red, bright like fire’, does not signify the mere fire that gives off heat. Rather, it means Jnanagni, the Fire of Wisdom, which is neither hot nor cold. Achala signifies hill. Thus, Arunachala means ‘Hill of Wisdom’. Every year thousands of devotees do a pradakshina of this hill to reconnect to Divinity within.  Learn more at https://www.sriramanamaharshi.org/arunachala-hill/

Day of Silence

The trip will conclude with a day of silence and deep reflection about all the things that we should drop and all the things that we should change and carry forward. This is a perfect way to usher in a New Year, or rather, a New You.
