We’re excited to announce that Downtown Bala Vihar (DTBV) will be opening 2025-26 registrations soon. We hope to better serve our growing communities in Downtown Manhattan, Brooklyn and Jersey City by offering an easily accessible location and time. We invite your family to enjoy a Saturday afternoon experiencing Downtown Bala Vihar with us. Your family will have the opportunity to attend opening prayers and assembly, Bala Vihar classes for children, satsang for parents, mingle with community members and meet our Brahmacharini Shubhani Chaitanya. Light refreshments will be served as prasad after closing prayers.
Though we’re housed in a rented venue, we create a sacred space for the duration of Bala Vihar. To that end we ask our attendees to remove their shoes and silence their phones before entering the prayer hall and classrooms.

KEY REMINDERS:
- Prior registration is required for attending the open house.
- Doors open at 3:30 pm. Please arrive by 3:45 pm, at the latest so that you can be there for the start of the session. Remove your shoes and silence your mobile phones.
- Find a comfortable spot to sit and take the time to settle down. Program starts promptly at 4:00 pm.
- At least one parent must stay for the entire duration of the open house.
- If your child is attending the Shishu parent and me class (2 years – pre k), then two parents must attend the open house. One parent must accompany the child in the Shishu class and the other parent can attend the information session.
